The Roman Principle

By learning from the Greek’s expertise and developing their own solutions, the Romans have created the most influential architectural style some 2000 years which is still in use today. My fascination with the Roman architectural style is immense. I am honoured to live in a town which incorporates those principles in full.
I finished this project in 4 days and I went through a lot of reference images to construct this structure. I solely created the model in Cinema 4D.

B.G.

My initials, upfront, in a bold and dark manner.

I am an aficionado of simplistic and clean designs, so this intro is a tribute to simplicity. I was able to execute the volumetric lighting and typography in Cinema 4D, then I composited in After Effects.
I wanted the theme to be dark and mysterious -  that is why I used a cold colour, fog/smoke, dust, and slow paced, clean sounds - piano, violin, and a bassdrop.

I have always been fascinated by the retro-futuristic designs of the ’60s and ’70s, ever since I first saw The Jetsons. The influence of the post-war age on architecture was enormous and it produced some iconic building designs. At that time, technology skyrocketed and tension between the past and future began. The design trend was a mix of old and new (imaginative) principles.
I modeled (Cinema 4D) this building after a design by Geebird&Bamby™. The collection they have made is brilliant and really inspiring. No copyright infringement intended. I see this as fan art.
